How to Install Garden Spike Lights: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Plan Your Layout

Before you start, walk your garden at night with a torch to identify the areas you want to light. Mark the positions of each spike light with a garden cane or stake. Consider:

  • Spacing: For pathway lighting, space lights 1–2 metres apart for even coverage
  • Angle: For uplighting trees or shrubs, position the spike 30–60 cm from the base of the plant and angle it upward
